Families flock to Kroc
Look whats new in Kapolei!! Hundreds of people have signed up for the new, amenity packed center in Kapolei.
The center is aimed at nuturing kids. Visitors at the grand opening of the 15 acre Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Kapolei Saturday saw water slides, 48 bedroom dormitory, party cabanas, 500 seat worship and performing arts center, an early childhood education center, an art studio, a game room and even a full fledged catering kitchen and banquet facility.
Community leaders called the $ 133 million center's opening a key step in the maturation of Oahu's fastest-growing region, noting it is across from the upcoming University of Hawaii-West Oahu campus.
Not scheduled to open officially until Wednesday, the facility has already signed up more that 1500 members. Up to fiva family members under the same roof can pay a flat monthly rate of $99.00, a family of 6 or more pays $ 109.00.
